What we collect, why we use it, and how you stay in control.

Who is responsible

MegaLaunch is operated by Matthias Marchione EI, 11 rue Roh Mané, 56400 Plougoumelen, France. The operator is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact contact@megalaun.ch for privacy questions or requests.

Your account and public contributions

We use your email address, sign-in identity and profile to provide your account. Product submissions, builder names, X handles, avatars, media, comments, votes and ratings support discovery and the competition. Names, product information, comments and recorded results may be public. Providing a service you request is our contractual basis for account and submission processing. Our legitimate interests in a useful, trustworthy community support moderation, voting integrity and abuse prevention.

Orders and support

We use order details, payment status and support messages to provide paid services, resolve requests and meet accounting obligations. Dodo Payments processes payment information. We do not store full payment card numbers. Contract performance and our legal obligations are the relevant legal bases.

Newsletter registration is optional and based on your consent. We store your email address and a record of that consent. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting contact@megalaun.ch; this does not affect your account or earlier lawful processing. We do not sell the subscriber list.

Optional analytics with Datafast

If you accept analytics cookies, Datafast processes visitor and session identifiers, visited pages, traffic sources, device and browser information and approximate location derived from connection information to help us understand site usage. Consent is the legal basis. The script is blocked before consent and after refusal. We do not send account names or email addresses through an Identify integration. You can withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer. See Datafast’s privacy policy for provider information.

Visits, clicks and security

We keep aggregate site and product traffic counts. To limit repeated product views or clicks, we derive an hourly, product-specific identifier from the requesting IP address using a secret-key hash. Raw IP addresses are not stored in these product counter records. These identifiers are pseudonymous data, not a promise of anonymity. Infrastructure providers may also process connection logs for service operation and security. Our legitimate interests are service reliability, fraud prevention and measuring delivery.

Service providers and external content

When the corresponding features are enabled, Supabase provides authentication, database and media storage, and Dodo Payments processes payments. Hosting and email delivery providers process data needed to operate their services. A requested X profile lookup and external avatar images can involve their respective providers. Embedded YouTube or Vimeo content and external websites may receive connection information when you load them and apply their own privacy policies. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, applicable adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards must cover the transfer. Ask contact@megalaun.ch for the current provider and transfer details.

How long we keep data

Account and submission data is kept while needed to provide the service. Public contributions and historical results may remain relevant after an account is closed; deletion and anonymisation requests are assessed individually. Newsletter data is kept while your subscription remains active, with limited evidence of consent or withdrawal where needed. Support, security and traffic records are retained only as needed for their purposes or a dispute. Records subject to accounting or other legal duties are kept for the applicable statutory period. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to contact@megalaun.ch; we may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You may also complain to the French data protection authority, CNIL. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made solely through automated processing.
