FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Short answers about listing, publication, votes, awards, paid options and integrations, taken from how MegaLaunch works. When another page covers a topic in depth, the answer links to it.
Listing your product
How do I list my product on MegaLaunch?
Sign in, choose Launch your product and pick a plan: Free, with a link back to MegaLaunch on your site, or Premium ($4.99 one-time), with no link back. Then fill in your maker profile, the main info about your product, images and media, a first comment and the launch checklist.
What happens in the 48 hours before a free listing goes live?
A free listing goes live automatically 48 hours after your submission, once we have checked your link back to MegaLaunch. Until then we can publish it sooner, postpone it or decline it, and a listing whose link back cannot be found again waits for a manual review. To go live right away, upgrade it to Premium from your dashboard.
What counts as a link back?
A visible link to megalaun.ch on a public page of your product's website, such as the Featured on MegaLaunch badge or a plain text link. Hidden links and links inside scripts are ignored. We check it when you submit and again just before your listing goes live, so keep it in place.
Which products can be listed?
Digital products, software and online tools with a clear purpose and a working website, submitted by their owner or by someone allowed to represent them. Physical goods, services delivered by hand and the other categories listed in our moderation policy are declined.
Can I edit my listing after it goes live?
Yes. Open your dashboard and choose Edit product details. Changes to a published listing appear on your page right away and are reviewed afterwards.
Votes, rankings and awards
Who can vote, and how many times?
Each signed-in member can vote once for a product, and voting again removes the vote. Votes from suspended accounts do not count.
When is the daily Top 3 decided?
A product competes on the UTC day it goes live. Only votes cast before midnight UTC count for that day. After midnight UTC, the hourly close records the 3 most voted products of the day. A recorded result appears on the product page and in the Hall of Fame. With the same number of votes, the product that went live first ranks higher. The leaderboard uses the same order.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Premium, Spotlight, the Billboard and every sponsored placement buy visibility. They never add votes or change a ranking or a recorded result.
Which badges can my product show?
Every published product can add the free Featured on MegaLaunch badge to its site, linking to its MegaLaunch page. Premium launches also get the Verified launch badge. A daily Top 3 finish appears on the product page and in the Hall of Fame.
Premium and paid services
What is the difference between Free and Premium?
Both get a permanent product page, a followed link to your site, votes and comments. Premium ($4.99 one-time) goes live as soon as payment is confirmed, needs no link back, and adds a highlighted card on your launch day, a feature in The weekly shortlist, a post on our X account and the Verified launch badge.
How is directory submission different from a MegaLaunch listing?
Your listing is your page on MegaLaunch. Directory submission is a separate, done-for-you service: we submit your product by hand to other dofollow directories, every submission sent within 7 business days, and send you a report for every directory. Plans start at $99 one-time. Each directory decides whether and when it publishes your listing.
What is the video review on X?
Matt records a 2 to 3 minute promotional video of your product and posts it on his X feed (@matthias_mrc, 3K+ followers), reposted by @megalaunch_. The video is added to your product page and labeled as a paid partnership. It costs $49 one-time and is delivered within 7 days after we receive what we need.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Contact us with your order reference. A paid service that has not started, or that moderation prevents us from delivering, is refunded in full. Our refund policy covers the other cases.
Newsletter, API and MegaLaunch
What is the weekly shortlist?
Our weekly newsletter: the best new launches of the week on MegaLaunch, by email. Every Premium launch is featured in the next issue. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Is there an API or an MCP server?
Yes. A free, read-only API and an MCP server give access to published products, categories, launches and rankings, without a key. They never expose emails, account details or payment data.
Who runs MegaLaunch?
Matt, an independent maker, builds and runs MegaLaunch. Company details are in the legal notice.
