MegaLaunch vs ListingBott: which directory service fits you
Choose MegaLaunch if you want its whole list of directories submitted by hand within 7 business days, a report line for each one and a launch bundled into the larger plans. Choose ListingBott if you want to approve every listing first, prefer publishing paced over a month, and value its written DR 0 to 15 promise for a new site.

MegaLaunch vs ListingBott at a glance
Both columns compare one website and about 100 directories, the size both services sell as their main package. MegaLaunch’s column is read from the code behind its offer page; ListingBott’s was read on listingbott.com on the check day. Each cell keeps the service’s own wording where it matters, including where the page contradicts itself.

Pricing for about 100 directories
For about 100 directories, MegaLaunch’s plan is Mega: $199 excl. VAT for the whole list, 100 directories, 75 of which met all of its listing rules on 21 Oct 20261. ListingBott’s main plan is $299 for 100 hand-picked listings2. That price is shown beside a struck $499 with a “discounted price” timer, and the payment link fills in a promo code. A ladder lower on the same page reads $299 for the first 100 users and climbs to $999 “after beta”2, so what you pay depends on when you order. Take a screenshot of the price you accept.
ListingBott also sells a monthly plan: $99 for 20 directories and websites a month2. Five months of it would reach 100 listings for $495, so it suits a steady trickle more than a one-off push. MegaLaunch has no subscription; its one-time plans are Starter $99 (30 directories), Growth $149 (60 directories), Mega $199 (the whole list, 100 directories), all excl. VAT1.
Neither headline price covers directories that charge their own fee. ListingBott says so plainly: premium directories and paid options on third-party sites are not in its standard plan, and it offers partner premium directories at a discount instead. Whichever service you pick, ask which directories on your list cost extra before you budget.
Process and turnaround
ListingBott works in stages. It prepares a list from your onboarding form, you approve or decline each listing, it publishes over a month, then a manager reviews the result. Up to 5 weeks: a list in 1 to 2 days, publishing over 1 month, then a review; indexing can take up to 2 months2. It presents the slow pace as a safety measure for your domain, and the approval step lets you drop a directory that has nothing to do with your product.
How the publishing happens is described two ways on the same page. The feature list says AI helps with the research and humans submit the listings, while the FAQ says a bot publishes your business daily for a month before a manager reviews it2. Read that as a mix of automation and people, and ask which part is which if that matters to you.
MegaLaunch’s timing is shorter and fixed: Starts within 2 business days (1 business day on Growth and Mega); every submission sent within 7 business days1. Everything is submitted by hand1 from one brief: your URL, a short description and an email for the report. “Sent” is not “live”, though. Each directory then reviews on its own schedule, which is the same constraint ListingBott describes when it allows up to two months for indexing.
In practice the choice is 7 business days against a month. If your launch date is fixed and you want every submission out before it, the shorter window matters. If you would rather see listings appear gradually, or you want a say on each directory before anything goes out, ListingBott’s month is built for that.
What you receive
ListingBott describes its reporting this way: Updates while publishing, a detailed report after the review, and an updated report after indexing2. Accounts are created with your email through forwarding, or with a new address it hands over with the password when the job is done, and it says you own the listings afterwards. Its main plan also replaces listings that disappear during indexing, to keep 100 live.
MegaLaunch’s report covers every directory1: the submitted URL, the date, the status, the listing URL and any action needed from you, plus the link it saw on the live page. The larger plans add MegaLaunch promotion on top of the submissions. Growth ($149 excl. VAT) includes a Premium launch on megalaun.ch, and Mega adds a month of Spotlight, a product story on the MegaLaunch blog, a re-check of every live listing after 30 days and priority support1.
That re-check looks at the status and the link attribute of each live listing again, which covers part of what ListingBott’s updated report after indexing does. ListingBott goes further on replacement: it commits to swapping removed listings for new ones, while MegaLaunch’s plans promise a re-check, not a replacement.
Links and Domain Rating
Neither service decides how a directory tags its links. MegaLaunch describes its list this way: Directories picked for a followed link. On 21 Oct 2026, MegaLaunch checked the link itself on 24 of the 100; for 75 it relies on a third-party report, and 1 gives a followed link only under conditions. Each directory decides acceptance and the link attribute1. ListingBott says this about its links: Not stated as dofollow for directory listings; its FAQ says the backlinks are designed to be permanent2. Only its paid blog backlink option is described as dofollow.
On Domain Rating the two take opposite positions. ListingBott’s promise reads: A DR increase from 0 to 15 within 2 months of its report, or more work or a refund; no set figure for sites already at DR 15 or more2. It adds that sites already at DR 40 or more are less likely to see much growth from 100 listings. MegaLaunch makes no ranking or DR promise for your site1; its DR figures only describe which directories each plan reaches. That difference is a policy, not a measure of quality. DR moves with every site that links to yours, so a promise about it is a promise about other people’s pages. Our guide on whether directory submissions help SEO explains what a listing can and cannot do.
This page shows no Domain Rating row for the two services themselves: it could not be read on Ahrefs for both sides on the same day, and a figure from any other source would not be the same basis.
Refunds
ListingBott’s refund promise comes in two forms on one page: A full refund if you are not satisfied, in its feature list; its FAQ ties refunds to the DR 15 promise2. It has no separate refund or terms page, so if the refund matters to your decision, ask for the conditions in writing before you pay.
MegaLaunch’s plans state: Full refund if we have not started your submissions3. After the start, its refund policy covers any part of a paid service that was not delivered, and it does not promise an SEO result. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers apply on top of that.
What ListingBott does better
- You see the list before anything is published and can approve or decline each directory, so nothing goes out in your name that you did not accept.
- It puts a number on the outcome for a new site: a DR increase from 0 to 15 within two months of its report, with more work or a refund if that does not happen.
- It commits to replacing listings that disappear during indexing so that 100 stay live, and its monthly plan of 20 listings2 suits a steady pace that MegaLaunch does not offer.
- It picks your 100 from a much larger pool: a database it puts at over 10,000 directories and websites2, against a list of 100 at MegaLaunch.
What MegaLaunch does better
- Every submission is sent within 7 business days of the start, where ListingBott publishes over about a month.
- Its whole-list plan costs $199 excl. VAT, one-time, and every order pays that price: the offer page shows it beside a struck list price and the checkout applies the difference itself, with no timer or user count deciding it1.
- The report gives the listing URL and the link attribute seen on each live page, and the Mega plan checks every live listing again 30 days after delivery.
- Growth and Mega include a Premium launch on megalaun.ch, and Mega adds a month of Spotlight and a product story on the MegaLaunch blog.
Who should pick which
Choose MegaLaunch if
- Your launch date is fixed and you want every submission out within 7 business days.
- You want a report line per directory with the live link and its attribute, not only a list of sites.
- You also plan a launch on megalaun.ch: Growth and Mega include a Premium launch.
- You prefer a price that is the same for every order to one that depends on a timer or on how many people ordered before you.
Choose ListingBott if
- You want to approve every directory before it is used.
- Your site is new, under DR 15, and a written DR target with a remedy matters to you.
- You prefer listings spread over a month, or a monthly plan of 20 listings.
- You want ListingBott’s optional blog backlinks or its partner premium directories.

Frequently asked questions
What is directory submission in SEO?
It is adding your website to online directories, launch sites and lists, each with a short description and a link back. The value is twofold: people browsing the directory can find you, and search engines see new pages that mention and link to your site. Results vary with the directory, its audience and whether it keeps the link followed, which is why a report showing every live listing is worth more than a count.
What is the best directory submission service?
There is no single answer, because the services trade different things. ListingBott trades time for control: a month of paced publishing, your approval of each listing and a DR promise for new sites. MegaLaunch trades that choice for speed and a fixed price: its own list (100 directories on 21 Oct 2026), with every submission sent within 7 business days. Compare price for the same number of directories, how the work is done, the report, the refund terms and what each one promises about results.
Does ListingBott use a bot or people?
Both, by its own description. Its feature list says AI helps with the research and humans submit the listings, while its FAQ says a bot publishes your business daily for a month and a manager reviews the listings afterwards. If the method matters to you, ask ListingBott which steps a person handles before you pay.
Is there a ListingBott alternative that is faster?
ListingBott says its process takes up to five weeks, plus up to two months for indexing. MegaLaunch sends every submission within 7 business days of the start. Directories still review on their own schedule, so no service can make every listing appear within its own delivery window, whatever that window is.
Methodology and sources
Matt, who runs MegaLaunch, wrote this comparison. ListingBott’s facts were read on listingbott.com on 24 October 2026: the plans, the payment buttons, the step-by-step process and the eleven FAQ answers, all on its homepage. The site had no separate pricing, terms or refund page that day (those addresses returned 404), so every ListingBott fact points to the homepage. Where the page states something two ways, both are quoted.
MegaLaunch’s values come from the code that also renders its offer page, so a change of price or delay there changes this page at the next build. Two data points are left out on purpose: Domain Rating, because Ahrefs could not be read for both services on the same day, and a link type observed on a live listing, because neither service hosts the listings it creates: each directory sets its own link attributes.
The offer page rounds MegaLaunch’s list to a headline count; this page gives its exact size, and the source note on its price explains what the whole-list plan holds.
MegaLaunch’s prices are shown excl. VAT, as everywhere on its site: tax is added at checkout based on the buyer’s country. Other platforms’ prices are quoted as displayed on their own sites, which do not always say whether tax is included, so a MegaLaunch price and another price on this page may not be on the same tax basis. Compare the totals each checkout shows before you pay.
- megalaun.ch/submission-service, MegaLaunch’s own terms, read from its code at publication. MegaLaunch: plans and prices; price for about 100 directories; method, as stated; turnaround, as stated; report; DR or DA promise; badge or link back required; extras; backlink, as stated. One-time payments in US dollars. Prices exclude VAT. Tax is added at checkout based on your country. The offer page shows each price beside a struck list price (Starter $149, Growth $199, Mega $249); the checkout applies the difference to every order, with no deadline. Mega takes every directory on MegaLaunch’s list: 100 on 21 Oct 2026. That day, 75 of them met all of its listing rules: no badge on your site, a submission that went through, a followed link with no condition and nothing to do on your side. The other 25 are replaced or dropped from an order, so an order can hold fewer submissions than the list. Extras of the Mega plan.
- listingbott.com, checked on . ListingBott: plans and prices; price for about 100 directories; method, as stated; turnaround, as stated; report; DR or DA promise; refund terms; badge or link back required; extras; directories per plan; backlink, as stated; format. The $299 is shown beside a struck $499 under "Discounted price, ends in", and its payment link carries the promo code 40percent. A price ladder on the same page reads $299 for the first 100 users, $399 for the first 1k, $499 for the first 2k and $999 after beta. Shown beside a struck $499. Updates are weekly in the FAQ and "every few days" in the order flow. No separate refund or terms page: listingbott.com/refund-policy/ and /terms/ returned 404 on the check day. Premium directories and paid options on third-party directories are not in the standard plan. The $999 option is described as DoFollow backlinks from the founder’s blogs (DR 30 to 77). The same page also says "Over 12000 directories" and "Show all directories (10353)". The full list is shown only after payment.
