MegaLaunch vs Boringlaunch: weekly slots or a fixed delivery window

Choose MegaLaunch if you want its whole list of directories ordered any day without reserving a slot, at a fixed price, with each live link reported. Choose Boringlaunch if its 100+ free platforms for AI startups or its Priority plan, with money back when DR stays under 20, fit your site and you can wait for a weekly slot.

Plans and price for about 100 directories

Boringlaunch sells three plans: Basic $149 (50+ platforms); Not Boring $249 (100+ platforms); Priority $549 (50 to 60 high quality platforms)2. Its 100+ plan is Not Boring, $249 for 100+ platforms2, and MegaLaunch’s is Mega: $199 excl. VAT for the whole list, 100 directories, 75 of which met all of its listing rules on 21 Oct 20261. Basic and Not Boring both carry a “50% OFF (Limited Time Offer)” label over a struck price, so check the figure on the day you order. MegaLaunch’s offer page also shows each plan beside a struck list price, without a deadline.

The two services cut their tiers along different lines. Boringlaunch splits by audience and quality: Basic is for every SaaS, Not Boring for AI startups2, and Priority goes to 50 to 60 platforms it calls high quality. MegaLaunch splits by count and Domain Rating: 30, 60, the whole list (100)1 directories, with Growth adding the DR 50 to 69 band and Mega the directories from DR 70 up. If you care most about strength, compare Priority with Growth ($149 excl. VAT) or Mega; if you care most about count, compare Not Boring with Mega.

Boringlaunch’s FAQ says it only submits where submission is free2, and Not Boring adds a list of paid platforms you can buy yourself. That keeps the plan price the whole bill. MegaLaunch describes its Starter plan in similar terms: free directories under DR 50.

Slots and turnaround

Boringlaunch’s timing: Submitted within 7 days; Priority starts within 24 hours. Basic and Not Boring were fully booked till 1st Nov2. On the check day, the Basic and Not Boring cards marked both this week and next week as sold out, with a button to reserve a future spot2. The Priority card showed no such notice.

Weekly slots are an open way to manage capacity: a sold-out week tells you the queue before you pay, not after. The trade is timing. If you reserve a future spot, add the wait for that slot to the 7 days, and plan any launch date around the later of the two.

MegaLaunch sells no slots: Starts within 2 business days (1 business day on Growth and Mega); every submission sent within 7 business days1. Its delays are counted in business days, so 7 business days is longer on the calendar than Boringlaunch’s stated 7 days once a slot has opened. What it removes is the booking step, which matters most in a week when Boringlaunch is full.

On method, Boringlaunch’s page says only that you share your product details once and it manages the submissions2; it does not say whether the work is manual or automated. MegaLaunch’s plans: Submitted by hand1. If the method matters to you, ask Boringlaunch before booking.

What you receive

Boringlaunch’s report, as described: A detailed report of every platform your product was submitted to, once the process is complete2. Every plan includes recommendations of further free platforms; Not Boring adds paid ones2. If you intend to keep submitting after the order, those lists are worth having: they come from the people doing the submissions.

MegaLaunch’s report has one line per directory1. Each line tells you what was submitted and when, where the submission stands, the listing URL once it is live, any step left for you, and whether the link on the live page is followed. On top of the submissions, Growth includes a Premium launch on megalaun.ch, and Mega adds a month of Spotlight, a product story on the blog and a second look at every live listing 30 days later1.

Both services reuse one description of your product across every form, so the quality of that text travels everywhere. Run it through the free headline and tagline analyzer before you send it, and tag your URL with the UTM builder so you can tell later which listings sent visitors.

Links, Domain Rating and who should not buy

Boringlaunch makes a different promise on each plan. Not Boring: "Guaranteed SEO Improvement In 30 Days of Submission". Priority: 100% money back if your DR does not reach 20+ within 30 days. Basic: none listed2. The Not Boring wording does not define what counts as an SEO improvement; the Priority one has a number, a deadline and a remedy, which makes it the one you can check.

Its FAQ is also frank about who will not gain much: a site with a DR above 25, or already submitted to 50+ platforms, will not see its SEO score improve, only some extra visibility2. That caution applies to every directory service, MegaLaunch’s included, and our guide on whether directory submissions help SEO explains why young sites feel the effect most.

MegaLaunch makes no ranking or DR promise for your site1. On link attributes, Boringlaunch says this: Not stated as dofollow or nofollow; its FAQ says listings create quality backlinks to your product page2. MegaLaunch describes its list this way: Directories picked for a followed link. On 21 Oct 2026, MegaLaunch checked the link itself on 24 of the 100; for 75 it relies on a third-party report, and 1 gives a followed link only under conditions. Each directory decides acceptance and the link attribute1. Neither can force a directory to keep a link followed, which is why the attribute seen on the live page is worth recording.

Refunds

Under Boringlaunch’s refund policy, a refund must be requested within 7 days of payment. It is full or partial, by the work done, when the service is not delivered as promised, and a change of mind does not qualify4. Read that window next to the slot calendar: it runs from the payment, even if the spot you reserved comes later.

MegaLaunch’s plans state: Full refund if we have not started your submissions3. Submissions start within 2 business days of payment, so that full refund is a short window too. Once work is under way, the refund policy still refunds a part that was never delivered. It makes no promise about rankings, and consumers keep their statutory right of withdrawal.

What Boringlaunch does better

  • Its Priority plan starts within 24 hours and refunds 100% if your Domain Rating has not reached 20+ within 30 days of submission, a measurable promise with a deadline that MegaLaunch does not make.
  • Its FAQ tells sites above DR 25, or already listed on 50+ platforms, that their SEO score will not improve, which saves money for buyers who should not order.
  • Every plan includes recommendations of further free platforms, and Not Boring adds a list of paid platforms worth considering.
  • It says it only submits where submission is free, so the plan price is the whole cost.

What MegaLaunch does better

  • There is no slot to book: you can order any day, and submissions start within 2 business days.
  • Its whole-list plan costs $199 excl. VAT1, against $249 for Not Boring’s 100+ platforms2.
  • The report records the listing URL and the link attribute seen on each live page, and Mega checks every live listing again 30 days after delivery.
  • Ordering Growth or Mega also buys visibility on megalaun.ch: a Premium launch, plus Spotlight and a product story on Mega.

Who should pick which

Choose MegaLaunch if

  • You need to order this week and Boringlaunch’s Basic and Not Boring slots are booked.
  • You want each live link and its attribute in the report, and a re-check a month later on Mega.
  • You want to choose how far up the DR bands your plan reaches.
  • You want the submissions and a megalaun.ch launch in one order.

Choose Boringlaunch if

  • You run an AI startup and Not Boring’s 100+ free platforms fit your product.
  • Your site is under DR 20 and Priority’s money-back promise is worth its price to you.
  • You want recommendations of further free and paid platforms to continue on your own.
  • You can reserve a slot ahead and plan your launch around it.

Alternatives to both

Frequently asked questions

Is there a directory submission service for AI tools?

Yes, several. Boringlaunch sells its Not Boring plan to AI startups, with 100+ free platforms for $2492. MegaLaunch’s list mixes launch platforms, AI tool directories, software and SaaS directories and web directories, and its Mega plan takes the whole list, 100 directories on 21 Oct 2026, for $199 excl. VAT. Whatever you pick, check how many AI-only directories the list holds, since some of them refuse products that are not AI tools.

What is a good Boringlaunch alternative when its slots are full?

Look for a service that sells a delivery window rather than weekly slots. MegaLaunch starts within 2 business days of payment and sends every submission within 7 business days. Boringlaunch’s Priority plan also had no sold-out notice on the check day and starts within 24 hours2, at a higher price and with fewer platforms.

Is Boringlaunch worth it?

For a young site, its offer is clear: free platforms only, a report, recommendations, and on Priority a money-back promise tied to DR 20+ within 30 days2. Its own FAQ says the benefit fades once your DR is above 25 or you are already on 50+ platforms. If your site is past that point, the money may do more elsewhere.

What is the best directory submission service for a site with DR above 25?

Possibly none. Boringlaunch states that its service will not improve the SEO score of such a site, and the reasoning holds for every service: once a site has a base of links, another hundred directory listings add little authority. They can still bring referral visits and help people find you, so pick on audience fit and on the report, not on a DR promise.

Methodology and sources

Matt, who runs MegaLaunch, wrote this comparison. Boringlaunch’s facts were read on 24 October 2026 on boringlaunch.com: the plan cards and slot notices and the FAQ on its homepage (the FAQ answers are in the page source, inside closed panels), its refund policy (last updated 25 March 2025) and its terms (last updated 28 March 2025). Slot availability changes weekly, so it is the fact most likely to be out of date.

Every MegaLaunch value on this page is read from the constants that also build its offer page, so the two cannot drift apart. The table has no Domain Rating row, since Ahrefs could not be read for Boringlaunch and MegaLaunch on the same day, and no row for a link type observed on a live listing, since both services submit to directories they do not run. Where Boringlaunch is silent, as on its method, the table quotes what it does say instead of guessing.

The offer page rounds MegaLaunch’s list to a headline count; this page gives its exact size, and the source note on its price explains what the whole-list plan holds.

MegaLaunch’s prices are shown excl. VAT, as everywhere on its site: tax is added at checkout based on the buyer’s country. Other platforms’ prices are quoted as displayed on their own sites, which do not always say whether tax is included, so a MegaLaunch price and another price on this page may not be on the same tax basis. Compare the totals each checkout shows before you pay.

  1. megalaun.ch/submission-service, MegaLaunch’s own terms, read from its code at publication. MegaLaunch: plans and prices; price for about 100 directories; method, as stated; turnaround, as stated; report; DR or DA promise; badge or link back required; extras; directories per plan; backlink, as stated. One-time payments in US dollars. Prices exclude VAT. Tax is added at checkout based on your country. The offer page shows each price beside a struck list price (Starter $149, Growth $199, Mega $249); the checkout applies the difference to every order, with no deadline. Mega takes every directory on MegaLaunch’s list: 100 on 21 Oct 2026. That day, 75 of them met all of its listing rules: no badge on your site, a submission that went through, a followed link with no condition and nothing to do on your side. The other 25 are replaced or dropped from an order, so an order can hold fewer submissions than the list. Extras of the Mega plan.
  2. boringlaunch.com, checked on . Boringlaunch: plans and prices; price for about 100 directories; method, as stated; turnaround, as stated; report; DR or DA promise; badge or link back required; extras; audience; directories per plan; taking new orders; backlink, as stated. Shown beside struck prices of $299, $499 and $999, with "50% OFF (Limited Time Offer)" on Basic and Not Boring. Shown beside a struck $499. Its FAQ adds that visibility on each platform depends on that platform’s own review. Its terms (boringlaunch.com/terms) do not mention one either. Its FAQ says a site with a DR above 25, or already submitted to 50+ platforms, will not see its SEO score improve, though it still gains some visibility. Its FAQ says it only submits where free submission is allowed.
  3. megalaun.ch/refund, MegaLaunch’s own terms, read from its code at publication. MegaLaunch: refund terms.
  4. boringlaunch.com/refund-policy, checked on . Boringlaunch: refund terms. Policy last updated 25 March 2025. It also lists a product already submitted to all the platforms as a case for a refund.
