How to name a clothing brand
A clothing brand name is read on small things: a woven label, a hang tag, a shipping box, a profile picture. It has to look good in a single line of type and sound right when a customer says where a piece comes from. Before you generate anything, picture the person wearing your clothes and the place they wear them. That picture tells you whether the name should feel loud, quiet, refined, sweet, rugged or nostalgic.
Choose the vibe that matches, then add a keyword: a material such as linen, a season, a city or a word from your story. The generator mixes it with fashion vocabulary such as thread, loom, seam and collar, and with the words of the vibe. Generate several batches and star anything you could imagine stitched inside a collar.

Streetwear, boutique and luxury names
Streetwear
Streetwear names borrow from the city and from attitude, and they tend to be short and punchy. Phrases with Label or Supply Co. sound like a crew, and single words work well printed large across a chest.
Boutique
Boutique names lean on flowers, fabrics and small pleasures: petal, ribbon, lace, Sunday. Pairs joined by an ampersand and soft endings such as elle or ette suit a shop sign and an Instagram handle.
Luxury
Luxury names are spare. One rare material or a House of phrase often says more than a clever blend, and a made-up word with an Italian or French sounding ending can feel like a designer label, provided nobody else already uses it.

Is the clothing brand name taken?
The generator never says a name is available: it cannot see registrars, social networks or trademark offices. The link under each name searches Porkbun, a registrar, for the exact domain in the ending you picked; .shop and .store are in the list for online shops. MegaLaunch has no deal with Porkbun and earns nothing from the link. Search Instagram, TikTok and the marketplaces you plan to sell on as well.
Trademarks are filed per country and per class of goods. In the international Nice Classification published by WIPO, class 25 covers clothing, footwear and headwear (see the class 25 heading, checked on 24 October 2026). In the United States, search the USPTO Trademark Search before you order labels. This is general information, not legal advice.
Test the name on the product
Type your shortlist in the font you plan to use and print it at label size. Put it on a mock tag, a bag and a profile picture. Some names that look elegant on a screen become unreadable at a few millimeters high. Then read it aloud in the sentence a customer would use, such as “I got this jacket from” followed by the name, and ask two or three people who match your customers which name they would remember the next day. For a brand that sells more than clothes, the brand name generator works with broader word lists. If the label grows out of a style or sewing channel, the YouTube name generator suggests channel names with the matching handle.
