How to repeat text 100, 1,000 or 10,000 times
Type or paste your text, then set the count. The common counts are one tap away, and any whole number from 1 to 10,000 works. The result is rebuilt as you type, so the result box always shows exactly what you will copy. The chips under it count the repetitions and the characters, which helps when a form or an app has a length limit.
Your text is repeated exactly as typed. Spaces at the start or at the end are kept, and so are the line breaks inside it, so a short poem or a block of several lines repeats as a block.
What people use it for
- Testing a form or a layout: paste a long repeated string to see where a field cuts the text or where a design breaks.
- Celebrations in a chat: a row of hearts, a birthday wish or a team cheer.
- Practice and lists: lines to copy out, or numbered rows to fill in later.
New line, space, nothing or your own separator
The separator goes between two repetitions, never after the last one, so the result ends cleanly. New line puts each repetition on its own line, which is what most lists and chat messages need. Space keeps everything on one line. None glues the copies together, handy for patterns such as a row of emoji. Custom accepts anything: a comma and a space, a hyphen, a whole sentence. In a custom separator, type \n for a line break and \t for a tab.
Text repeater for WhatsApp, Instagram and other chats
The tool runs in the browser of your phone the same way as on a computer, with nothing to install. Repeat your message, tap Copy, open the chat and paste. Download .txt is there for long results that are easier to share as a file or to open in a text editor.
Two practical points before you send. Messaging apps and social networks cap the length of a message or a caption, so a very long paste may be cut or refused: the character count tells you how long your text is before you try. And a wall of repeated text in a group chat is funny once. Some apps and communities treat it as spam, so keep it for people who will enjoy it.
Emoji and other symbols
Emoji repeat like any other text. The character count counts Unicode code points, so a simple emoji counts as one character, while an emoji with a skin tone, or a family emoji, is built from several code points and counts as more. Apps may count differently, so leave a margin when you aim for a limit.
Repeat words with numbers
Tick Number each repetition to put 1., 2., 3. in front of each copy. With New line, this gives a numbered list: lines to write out, a tally of practice rounds, or placeholder rows for a spreadsheet or a test. The numbers count toward the character total.
Why there is a limit
The result is built in your browser, and dropping millions of characters into a page can freeze a tab, especially on a phone. So the tool stops at 10,000 repetitions or 1,000,000 characters, whichever comes first, and tells you when your text reaches the limit. If you really need more, download the result and repeat the file itself, or use one of the formulas below.
How to repeat text in Excel, Google Sheets, Python and JavaScript
Spreadsheets and programming languages have a repeat function built in.
- Excel and Google Sheets:
=REPT("Hello ",3). In Excel the result cannot be longer than 32,767 characters, or REPT returns #VALUE! (Microsoft documentation of REPT, checked on 24 October 2026). - Python:
"Hello\n" * 3, or"\n".join(["Hello"] * 3)to leave no line break at the end. - JavaScript:
"Hello ".repeat(3), orArray(3).fill("Hello").join("\n")for one copy per line.
